Where something always smells fishy!

Donald Trump promises to bring back Whaling and make “New Bedford Great Again!”

Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump is making waves with a promise to “Make New Bedford great again!” by bringing back whaling to the city. This is the second time New Bedford has been in the news regarding whaling in recent years. In 2012, celebrity Kim Kardashian visited New Bedford and was upset that whaling no longer existed in the Whaling City.

New Bedford was the “city that lit the world” using oil generated from the whaling industry and considered one of the wealthiest cities in America at the height of whaling in the middle of the 19th century. The city invested in textiles after the whaling industry collapsed, but most of the factories sat empty. New Bedford now has twice the unemployment rate as the rest of the state.

“New Bedford is the most dangerous city in Massachusetts and their textile mills are filled with hippy artists,” said Trump. “What’s the unemployment there? Like 95%? When I’m President we’ll bring back whaling and make New Bedford great again.”

Trump got his inspiration after visiting Norway.

“I just visited socialist Norway where whaling is legal,” Trump continued. “Bernie Sanders is trying to make America like socialist Norway, so that should include Whaling. I bagged me a Minke whale bull before I left Norway. Beautiful country and beautiful whale. I’ll be going back soon.”

Another fake story to mislead people. There should be accountability in all these spoofs done on the candidates.

If you have even a slightly below average IQ you know this is fake. The problem isn’t the fake news its the people who believe that everything they read on the internet is true. Delusional

That man is a real piece of art, maybe he should make Mad magazine great again..I would love for our city to be a leader again, but it might not happen with an industry that basically died 150 years ago.Of course this is just one mans reasonable opinion.maybe we could start manufacturing something people are interested in buying in 2016.

OMG. You people think this is a serious news story?? Hello?? Anybody home? Its SUPPOSED to be funny. And it is. Maybe IQ tests should be given before people can vote? And there’s no satire in that.

The fact that people believe these silly, satirical articles just boggles my mind. Common sense, people! It’s a joke! You should all be embarrassed for believing everything you read on the internet.

Obama made a campaign pledge in 2008 to end the slaughter of whales. But in 2010 Obama lead an effort within the International Whaling Commission to lift a 24-year international ban on commercial whaling for Japan, Norway and Iceland, the remaining three countries in the 88-member commission that still hunt whales. Thanks a lot President Obama.
